Come into our gallery and check out potter Paul Haigh. Paul’s work is influenced by old American and Japanese pottery, as well as the science and horror genres. All of his work is fired in a wood-fired kiln. During the firing process the wood ash from the fire melts onto pots, forming a natural glaze. The pots’ placement in the kiln is a large factor. For instance, the face jugs are usually turned into the kiln’s flame to give the raised features their unique look. Paul’s former career in chemistry has also been a useful tool in formulating his own glazes.
Visit the Hooksett Fine Craft Gallery to see more of Paul’s work.
