2023 ANNUAL ORNAMENT
The League of New Hampshire Craftsmen’s 2023 Annual Ornament, Through the Thicket, was created by League wood artist Kevin Turgeon of Franklin, NH. The League’s 36th Annual Ornament is created using seven different species of woods to make the blocks Turgeon begins with in the ornament making process. “I was inspired by an image with an optical illusion that gave a wooden sculpture the appearance of being turned at an angle,” says craftsman Kevin Turgeon,” and it got me thinking of ways that I could actually make the angle a reality.”
Every year our juried members vie for the honor of creating the League’s Annual Ornament. They submit their work and a selection is made by a specially chosen committee. This tradition began in 1988, and the Annual Ornament has become a must-have holiday treasure.
Each ornament is numbered as one of a limited edition, signed and numbered by the artists, and comes beautifully gift-boxed.
